I'm thankful for:

I'm thankful for my family and friends, a warm and cozy house, and good food. I'm also thankful for money and weather, and a comfortable mattress. I'm thankful for holiday vacations, and celebrating those holidays too. I like school, TV, and computers. I'm thankful for this blog, which was Mrs. Hock's idea. Thank you, Mrs. Hock!

Happy Thanksgiving from Garfield

I'm thankful for music, and old TV shows, such as Garfield. I'm thankful for cable, heat, and electricity. I'm thankful for movies, such as Twister and The Wizard of Oz. In school, I'm most thankful for study hall and early dismissals, like 11:30, 1:00, and 2:00 ones. But what I'm very thankful for is Thanksgiving!

If I was to eat only 1 meal over and over...

I would eat Italian food, such as pizza and lasagna. The appetizer would be mozzarella sticks. The main entree would be our drinks. And the desserts would be brownies, cookies, and ice cream! If Garfield were to eat that meal, too, he would be very happy.
Valentino's

Garfield!

Desserts!

I usually go to Valentino's, Grand Italian Buffet, to find Italian food. It's delicious! Garfield would not resist eating everything!! He and I could eat together, too, and we could chat. Ciao!

If I were to have a certain role on a TV show

Ruff Ruffman
If I were to be on TV, I would be a FETCHer on this cool game show, FETCH!, with your host: Ruff Ruffman. One episode I would be out on a challenge, another one I would stay at Studio G (a.k.a. Ruff's garage! Ha ha!) I'd be called over the phone by RR, and then I'd realize: I'm a FETCHer! Ruff isn't only handsome, he's hilarious too! His assistant is a black cat known as Blossom.

Even if I stayed behind at Studio G, the garage, I'd still be eligible to win points during this little quiz where we come back quiz those who stayed behind on what everybody else has done earlier, and it's called the Half-Time Quiz Show! In it, there are 10 questions at 5 points apiece, and you have 60 seconds to answer them all. At the end, when the ones out on the challenges return, the Ruffster awards points to them. But that isn't all the points a dog can give, is it? NO! What time is it?! BONUS POINTS!! Double R awards one FETCHer 5 "bone-us" points, and the one with the most points is today's daily winner! Then that FETCHer chooses between Prize A and Prize B. Under one thing, something that you forgot to put on your Christmas list. Under the other, something worse than coal in your stocking. Then that guy chooses and goes home with the prize he/she chose. Then we say goodbye, and then a little segment plays. Goodbye.

You've just found out you're the last person on Earth. What do you do?

Donald Duck
I would do everything I want. I would never be angry again. I could eat anything I like. Then I'd NEVER be starving to death. I would be VERY happy. I could go as crazy as Donald Duck if I wanted to.

I would NEVER get in trouble, because there would be NO MORE RULES! I would watch all my favorite TV shows. I would even get sneaky, and STEAL anything from the store that I want. And the best part: I WOULD NEVER BE ARRESTED! Don't you agree?

My favorite music genre

Merry Christmas!
My favorite music genre is, of course, Christmas music. I listen to it every year on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. My favorite holiday songs range from Jingle Bells to Silent Night. It gets me into the holiday spirit. Ho ho ho!

We always put up a Christmas tree and decorations such as garland and lights. Then we hang our stockings and leave cookies and milk for jolly old St. Nick. Always be good so you can receive candy and presents, not coal, which is what you get if you're bad. Make sure you have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
So be thankful for the presents you got, don't be stingy and greedy, and goodbye!

Dear Cliff and Carrie Thibodeau

Blogger
Hello! I'm so glad you could make it. Blogging is simply chatting with your friends, which we do in computers w/ Mr. Grant Torpin, but the catch is we don't do it all the time. We sometimes do L-J typing out of the book.

But most often, we blog. My screen name is "tornado chaser", and on 10/19/10, he asked us to create this post. Make sure to comment on this post and the posts I made
last month and weeks ago. Mr. Torpin would like to meet you. See you at home.

You have just been put in charge of school. What is your 1st move?

I would let every grade in school, from K-7th, go to the book fair. They would like that idea.
They would buy whatever they wanted, thanks to me. We'd be great friends.

F5 twister tube
They could purchase anything, from books and posters, to toys and Terrifying Tornados! F5 Twister Tubes. They would enter excitedly and exit happy. Then they would come to the next book fair, and the same process will keep repeating, again and again.

If I could start any business...

Jack-o'-lantern
I would open a Halloween supplies store that is open in October, and  I would have a Halloween special on Halloween! Everything would be 50% off. And as a bonus, the candy corn would be free all day and night on Halloween, too!

I would have everything, from pumpkins and pumpkin carving kits, to trick-or-treat baskets and spooktacular decor, and what else... costumes and candy! Have a happy Halloween!

Description of my last meal

Lunch was delicious! Ravioli is beefy and meaty and everything. Chef Boyardee ravioli is yummy, too. Boy, this stuff is good.

Red power jello
Chef Boyardee Ravioli
It's important that you eat it, because when you're hungry, only the rich, meaty sauce of Chef Boyardee... can tame the beast...in you. The Mini Ravioli is so small, you need to take small bites and chew slowly. Don't eat too much OVERSTUFFED Ravioli, or you'll be "OVERSTUFFED!"I also had power jello.

If I had any superpowers

If I had any superpowers, I would want to fly through the air so I could save anybody in danger, like a cat stuck in a tree.

I would soar up to the top of a tornado and take control of it. It would do anything I want it to do, like if I pointed in any direction, it would go that way. I then would never have tired legs and feet. That's what I would want.

The best invention in the world

The best invention ever is the lightning rod, because it was made by Benjamin Franklin. He did an experiment to see if lightning was electricity.

He flew a kite during a thunderstorm, with a metal key attached to the end of the string. When it rained and the string got wet, sure enough, a spark jumped from the key when the lightning flashed. And that led to the lightning rod. And that's why I like it.

If I could take any zoo animal

If I could take any zoo animal, I would take them all and bring them back home where they belong, and live in the wild, the wide-open spaces.

I would take the white polar bears and the penguins back to Antarctica, the mighty gray elephants and the black-and-white striped zebras back to Africa, the brown grizzly bears back to the forest, the funky monkeys and lemurs back to the jungle, along with the wild cats and birds, and all the fish, sharks, dolphins, and whales back to the ocean. They would be very happy, and that would be grrrrrrreat! Good-bye for now.

If I had $1,000,000

If I had $,100,000, I would move to Minnesota and stay there. I would also buy some expensive stuff.

Or I could save up enough to get $1,000,000! Then I would buy very, VERY expensive stuff. I'd also live in a big mansion with butlers and servants. I would tip them, too. I'd also buy some very scary Halloween decorations, and even a thunder and lightning simulator! See you later.

My Favorite Storm

My favorite storm is a thunderstorm, because it's the only storm with heavy rain, thunder, lightning, large hail, strong winds, and tornadoes if severe.

The cloud that produces it is called a cumulonimbus (kyoo MEW loh NIHM buss) cloud. Their flat tops are called the anvil, because it looks like a blacksmith's anvil for making things out of steel, like horeshoes. My next favorite storm is a tornado, because it's the only violent whirling wind that's funnel-shaped. It's a windstorm that travels over land as a funnel-shaped cloud. You'll know a severe thunderstorm is approaching if the clouds look green. See you next time.

My favorite movie character

Mater
My favorite movie character is from the Disney Pixar movie, Cars. He's brown, likes riding in helicopters, and is McQueen's friend. It's Mater. Like "tuhmater", but without the "tuh". He is hilarious.

He likes tractor tippin', and is the best backwards driver. He lives in Radiator Springs, and thinks the Ghostlight is real. Mater, if riding a helicopter, is "happier than a tornado in a trailer park". He is a big feller to McQueen, and also has sort of a Texas drawl. See you in Radiator Springs, "Tuhmater"! I'll be seeing you later, Mater! Hahahahahahaha! See ya later.

Hello, world.

My name is Shelby Thibodeau. My favorite science is Earth science and weather. I love thunder and lightning, and I want to be a meteorologist when I grow up. I love watching thunderstorms rumble across my home. I would like to see a tornado, and I know all the cloud types and what weather they bring. I would like working at the National Weather Service in Hastings. Climate is great, too, so I'd also want to be a climatologist. Ask me a weather question, and I'll give you all the answers and info you need.

I like Halloween, because it makes me think of haunted houses on dark and stormy nights. I have lots of good friends and teachers. I love libraries, because they have the books I like. I think Christmas is the merriest holiday. When I grow up, be sure to visit me at the NWS in Hastings.
